-Decide if you are going to move yourself, get a POD, or have professional do it.
-Price the costs of food, gas, hotels, truck, help you may or may not have.
-If you have decided to us a moving company book the company as soon as possible
-Keep track of all your expenses ( snacks, maps, tolls, drinks, gas, ect…) during the move if you can deduct them.
-Clean out your home and storage areas and donate anything you do not want
-Start getting boxes and packing materials for your move
-Get insurance on all of your valuables that are going with you.
-Make a change of address with the post office and family and friends
-Start packing items you won’t need before the move
-Tell your utility companies when to turn off the old services and turn on the new before your arrival
-Have all your items and suitcases packed before the truck arrives. Pack a bag for items you will need upon arrival.
